about
Weird Times is a tongue-in-cheek pop punk song that muses on the mind set of musicians in the current state of the world.
From being stuck at home alone in front of screens all day, to the dread of having your hard drive crash mid song. Creators have to learn how to cope in the modern digital era, and not lose their minds (or progress) in the process.
Recorded in Negative's living room studio, ironically he created the whole song alone in front of a screen.
lyrics
What do you get when you cross
an overactive imagination with a heart that feels lost?
I must confess that I’m spending most of my time
staring at screens and my eyesight's not the best.
But the whole world is going crazy!
Just outside my front door.
Weird times, weird times, weird times with you.
What do you get when you’re stuck between a rock and a hard place,
and every day feels the goddamn same?
I must confess that I’m, probably, drinking too much and
There’s no one else to blame...
Except myself this loneliness is driving me insane!
And I’m trying not to be lazy,
Laying here on the floor.
And I’m tryna keep up but my hard drive crashed,
That’s just my luck.
